LANCE ARMSTRONG LIVESTRONG WRISTBANDS
LIVESTRONG

In honor of the LIVESTRONG DAY, May 16,2007, The Alvis Foundation donated 2000 LIVESTRONG WRISTBANDS  to this cause. Mikel and Mike, along with the creative assistance of Laurel, painted and decorated 10 bags with the LIVESTRONG message on them, in yellow finger paints. Then, on 5-14-07, Whitney, Mikel and Mike put 1000 wristbands in these bags to be given away on 5-16-07. Mike and Gidget then took these bags and another 1000 in boxes to the hospital for distribution. Dr. Mike Alvis, his family ( Whitney, Mikel, Teg ) his office staff, and many VIP Volunteers  distributed all 2000 LIVESTRONG WRISTBANDS by 3PM on May 16, 2007 to patients, families, visitors, and staff @ Community Hospital in Oklahoma City and Norman Regional Hospital in Norman, Oklahoma. Mikel and Mike went floor to floor during the last hour and Mikel gave away ~ 100 to patients in the Emergency Room, and staff nurses, assistants, as she decided she was "... good at this...." and did not want to leave till her bag was empty.
