tonya lawson, a 37 year old female decided to go for a joy ride on her 4-wheeler on 12-10-2006 an d she was actually on the back and her husband was "driving" when they went up a hill and it "... flipped over on top of me and bent me in half..." she was neurologically intact when i first saw her that december with the interesting xrays below......

i took her to surgery and did a posterior thoracic rodding using Stryker pedicle screws from thoracic9 to Lumbar 2 and did a Kyphoplasty of T-12 to restore the T-12 body height ... the folowing x-rays were taken intraoperatively

two years later in december 2008, she returns to my office oll annoyed that her xrays are not on the web.. so here... they... are... she remains neurologically intact, and still rides her 4-wheeler frequently...so much for doctors orders......
